What is the best book to learn Italian?

October 6, 2008 by admin

I'll be going to Italy in the beginning of July and would like to learn at least enough Italian to get around and maybe make small talk with natives. Which books would you recommend?

Go to a real Italian restaurant, sit with them and eat and learn the named dishes in Italian. You will learn the pleasant words and phrases of conversation. You, like everyone else, will too quickly learn the 'bad' words on the street. Italians also talk with great movements of their hands. You will luv Italy, I was there in 1958.

Get children's books in Italian with stories you already know, and read them out loud. They are loaded with simple, everyday vocabulary words and will help you with conjugating verbs (i.e., past, present, future).
